Orange Corners project changes “management” in Angola

O Orange Corners Angola (OCA), a platform for entrepreneurs to learn, stimulate their creativity, expand their business and their professional network, will now be managed by Accelerates Angola, an Angolan incubator and accelerator for micro and small businesses (SMEs), which provides the necessary tools to help leverage business ideas or already established companies.

The information was revealed in an informative note by Professional Management, which has managed the OCA since 2018, through its official Facebook page.

The OCA aims to contribute to Angola's economic growth, creating an environment for local entrepreneurship to thrive. An initiative by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its partners to cultivate the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

How does it work?

Orange Corners Angola is an incubation program for young people:

  • From 18 – 35 years old;
  • Finalists and recent graduates (bachelor’s or master’s degree);
  • With a business project, or a business in its initial phase (less than 2 years of existence, it can be formalized or not);
  • With Angolan nationality and / or residence in Luanda

BUT: Orange Corners Angola graduates 5th & 6th Class in entrepreneurial event

In the incubator, young university students (finalists and recent graduates) will be able to have access to mentoring, legal and financial assistance, and marketing to get their ideas off the ground.

How does the program work?

It is a practical and experiential program. Everything the entrepreneur learns will have to be applied to their own business idea. The program lasts one year. Every two weeks there is training.

Please note that very recently Acelera Angola was one of the winners of the first round of the Orange Corners incubation and acceleration program, which ended on June 30, 2023.

With this distinction, the Angolan institution will be one of the implementing partners for Orange Corners local programs in the period 2024 – 2028, empowering entrepreneurs with personalized programs for a sustainable economic future.
