Within the scope of the activities of world space week (WSW, from its acronym in English), and which runs until October 10th, several students from the Instituto Politécnico Maiombe nº 4023, of Secondary Education, in Cacuaco, Luanda, were informed about the innovation sectors in a lecture called “Satellite and Entrepreneurship".

With the presence of more than 56 students and organized by the Youth Alliance, Nestlé's social responsibility area, the lecture included comments from experts from the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN).

With these two activities, in addition to the opening of the week, the Youth Alliance ended its cycle of lectures for secondary and secondary school students, in Luanda, during the SME 2023 celebrations.

For this 2023 edition, the central act of the WSW was overseen by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), while the coordination of parallel activities was the responsibility of the GGPEN in collaboration with Ambassadors for Space Education and national partners.

The program included lectures and seminars given by experts from French, Portuguese and Japanese startups and representatives of the Angolan Space Program to share knowledge and experiences.

There was also networking in order to create an environment in which startups, SMEs, GM and the general public can interact to foster cooperation initiatives in the space sector.

The activities took place under this year's theme of World Space Week, which is “Space and Entrepreneurship”, in alignment with Strategic Axis 2 of the National Space Strategy: “Training and Promotion”, with an emphasis on highlighting Angola's achievements in space sector to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
