In the world of (legal) music downloads, Apple dominates, anyone who has questions, Apple store and confirm.
Microsoft has apparently gotten tired of this domain and intends to fight to the end. Remember that Microsoft tried to move forward with Zune, but ... it was the fiasco we knew. New strategy: Xbox Music.
Taking advantage of the number of Windows users + users of its gaming platform, Microsoft has decided to move forward with the service that will have radios in streaming e download of MP3. All perfect until we realize that the operating system that users prefer for now, Windows 7, will have some limitations in this service. The same can be said of Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. That service is active since yesterday (16 / 10).
Among the many features of the Benefits of XBox Music that will not be available for Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7, we can point out:
- Free streaming for Windows 8 and synchronization of playlists in the cloud,
- "Cloud" storage that will allow the user to confirm what devices they already have on their device and store them online. Apple users will soon remember the iTunes Match (will process?)
Another good news, we may have Xbox Music service apps for Android e iOSin the middle of 2013.
