AGT visits BayQi's headquarters to talk about e-commerce in Angola

The General Tax Administration, visited this Friday 9th April 2021 the headquarters of BayQi, seeking to answer some questions and assess the understanding of the BayQi on the current framework of electronic commerce, as well as its future in Angola.

With an increasing number of businesses focused on digital, especially since the pandemic, he reinforced that AGT worked on creating mechanisms to help and encourage the inclusion of the digital economy in Angola.

In conversation with the BayQi team, they sought to understand what the challenges are, from operation, import of goods, customs clearance, payment model and logistics.

Fátima Almeida CEO of the company stressed that it is necessary to review the previous customs clearance model according to the e-commerce model that is practiced in Angola, since it is accentuated in the importation of goods in individual name.

The meeting ended with the promise of reviewing the points mentioned and trying to find better solutions to create a sustainable ecosystem in the short and long term in Angola.
