Swegue brings some new features to Kamba, so you should please a different group of users. We tested the smartphone for a few weeks and here we share our experience ...

General characteristics of "Swegue"

O 7 Mobile Swegue is a smartphone that 7Mobile fits in the middle range and has a 5.5 inch screen, support for 2 Micro SIM cards, dual rear camera of 13 Mega Pixels + 0.3 MP and a front camera of 5 Mega Pixels. As you can, starting with the specifications of the cameras, Swegue didn't come “to play”! Most importantly, the price is less than 50 thousand AKZ.

Hardware and Design

Swegue has a design that highlights the screen, so that users get the most out of the 5.5 inches. The edges have a sharp curvature, just like the “Kamba”. The physical buttons for "on / off" and Volume "Up / Down" are positioned on the left side of the smartphone, some right-handed users may experience difficulties when using for the first time. There are no physical buttons for "Home", "Back" and "Multitasking".
There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone, which is one of the causes for 7Mobile to bet on a design in which the battery would be built-in, that is, does not remove the back, without disassembling the smartphone. The structure of the smartphone is completely metal.

The MicroUSB entry is located at the bottom of the smartphone, while the Audio Jack 3.5mm is at the top of the smartphone.

Interface and Performance

7Mobile Swegue has pre-installed Android 7, in a very clean version, without major customizations and proprietary applications, leaving the mobile phone faster. The background paper with the 7Mobile logo is the first visible change.

Swegue has a 1.5GHz processor, Quad Core and 2GB of RAM. The performance with common applications - Messages, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Camera and two games - was quite satisfactory, with all these applications open, the smartphone did not crash.

An interesting feature in Swegue, is the “Inteligent assist“, Which allows us to add new features to the smartphone, such as making a screenshot with 3-point pressure on the screen. Believe me, making screenshots without pressing physical buttons is useful!

The fingerprints delivers on what it promises - unlock your smartphone faster, the position of the sensor makes it easy for any user, right-handed or left-handed. However, please note that if your fingers are damp, you will have difficulty recognizing fingerprints.

Benchmark Results

Just as we did with Kamba, Benchmark tests can help you understand performance in a more technical way.

AnTuTu v.6.2.7
Result: 33945

Geekbench 4
Single Core Result: 665
Multi Core Result: 1803

Comparing the results with those obtained by “Kamba”, we can confirm that the performance is superior. If we have to compare the Multi-Core performance with that of another smartphone (even if released some time ago), it would be the LG Nexus 5, which leaves the 7 Mobile Swegue in very good company.

Office Supplies

The specifications of the 7 Mobile Swegue's cameras excited us right from the start: 13Mega Pixels + 0.3MP dual rear camera, with SONY IMX135 sensor. It doesn't matter if you want to take panoramic photos, selfies, night photos… the cameras of the “Swegue” behaved very well and will certainly please young people in Angola who publish many photos on social networks. The 5MPixel front camera perfectly fulfills its most common function: selfies!

Battery life

The 3300mAh Battery comes in to ensure that the 5.5 inch screen does not significantly reduce battery life. Using mobile data 3G continuously we have a range that 20 hours, with the screen brightness at 70%.

Conclusion

Swegue is rated mid-range, largely because of its 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, however, for a smartphone rated 47.000,00 AKZ
(on average), Swegue exceeded our expectations.

  • Dual rear camera, the battery life, Android 7.0 operating system and price.
  • With a 13MP quality camera, users will be “addicted” to photos, so 16GB of storage will not be enough. We understand that there is a chance to use a memory card (T-Flash), but the performance ends up dropping. This is an improvement point for Swegue.

We tried to look for more details about smartphones in the 7Mobile official website, however they are not yet available. Another point the company will have to improve.

An interesting detail for this and the other 7 Mobile smartphones is guaranteed technical support. 7 Mobile has spare parts for each of its smartphones and has technicians trained to perform these actions. This can be a tremendous differential in choosing the new smartphone.
