Technology in Angola starts to gain prominence, with the launch of several services of Angolan authorship, an example recently presented was the arrival of the service “Kwanza Online“. But for all indications now it could be raising the bar of games created by Angolans.
This good news is for the Angolan gaming developers, who can participate in the first National Games Creation Contest which will take place on May 19 at 09 am, the same will happen at Amphitheater II of the Methodist University of Angola. Therefore, this competition comes within the scope of the implementation of programs to promote scientific culture and the transfer of technology and technology-based entrepreneurship from Angola.
It is also worth noting that this contest is exclusively for students, and its main objective is to challenge and stimulate creativity and technological innovation among students from the most varied institutions in the country, emphasizing that the 2016 edition of this contest will be based on the three main categories: Idea of Game, Prototype and Innovation.
The organizing committee of this event is in charge of the Methodist University of Angola (UMA). The Ministry of Science and Technology-National Technology Center (CTN) The Angolan Society of Computing (SAC)) University Agostinho Neto (Faculty of Sciences)in partnership with IBM-Angola, Women's Portal, Tec Retina, Tec 2 Lead, Cidades, Interactive load and Movicel.

The contest is open to the public, even those who are not students can participate.
