Angola Cables begins construction of data center in Brazil

Angola cables starts today, July 10th, the works for the construction of the data center of the Angolan telecommunications company, to be installed in Fortaleza, in Brazil.

According to the CEO of Angola Cables, Antonio Nunes, infrastructure forms an important part of the telecommunications ecosystem, which will result in a significant improvement in communications between Angola and the world.

The works will be completed by the end of the year, along with submarine cables BAGS e Many which required a global investment USD 300 million. The CEO added that because it is the first data center with Tier 3 specification of the most modern and robust data centers, and because it is neutral, it will serve as an aggregation point, being linked to it the major producers of content, products and services located in the region.

 "In this way, the content will be more available to Angolans, as there will be a substantial reduction in the waiting time to download the data."

Antonio Nunes, stressed that Brazil is one of the largest centers for the production of content in Portuguese, as the implementation of this infrastructure will also benefit the academic community of both countries. "Academic communities will be able to take great advantage of the contents, which can be shared in both directions, since both the contents in Latin America and those available in Angola become more accessible to different markets".
