Angola is off the list of African countries with technology centers in Africa. According to the most recent GSMA, the African continent has 314 active technology poles in 94 cities spread across 42 countries.

Only five countries, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt and Morocco, have 50% of all technology centers in Africa. While 49% of technology centers have partnerships with non-Telecom corporations, such as MicrosoftGoogle e Ashoka, 13% of these centers have partnerships with mobile operators, including OrangeNTD e Vodafone.

South Africa is the country with the most technological centers in Africa, with 54 technology centers followed by Egypt with 28, Kenya with 27, Morocco with 21, Nigeria with23, Ghana with 16, Tunisia with 15 and Uganda with 12 centers.

The report also indicates that the technology centers' Facebook platforms have more than 1,5 million followers, as well as 600 Twitter followers. Technology centers are spaces created to stimulate the growth and competitiveness of micro and small companies through technological advancement.
