The program "Hi Kambas on TV”, broadcast on TV Zimbo, received the 2022 Innovation Award from the United Nations (UN).
The innovative project that is produced by the Angolan agency Isenta Comunicação for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Angola, received the distinction for its unique character of the project that constitutes a case study for the implementation of communication programs for development at the UN .
For the UN, “Oi Kambas on TV” has a great capacity to innovate and establish effective communication with target audiences, without forgetting that with this 2022 Innovation Award, Angola stands out unequivocally and positively among the 193 countries -members of this global institution.
The script for “Oi Kambas on TV” involved the Angolan presenters Zuleica Wilson and Igor Benza who, in an informal tone, spoke about health and well-being, sexuality, relationships and sexual and reproductive health, all in the mobile application “Oi Kambas” on the program “A Tarde é Nossa”, on TV Zimbo.

The mobile application was launched last June by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in partnership with UNFPA to provide young people with reliable sources of information that inform and help combat myths, stigmas and false news on these topics.
As for the Report on the Main Global Partnerships (April to June 2022), UNFPA celebrates the success of the joint work of the office in Angola and TV Zimbo, in the dissemination of the mobile application in the program “A Tarde é Nossa”.
Published on the fund's official page, it underlined the “innovative partnership” that made possible the “free transmission, in prime time, of three weekly segments”.
The quality and relevance of the project have already made it a case study within the United Nations, which could inspire system agencies around the world.
The award ceremony for “Oi Kambas on TV” was held during the Innovation Fair in New York, United States of America (USA).
