A Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will update the iPhone 12 in France, in order to comply with European standards on electromagnetic radiation emission levels and be able to resume its commercialization in France, AFP reports today.

"After debate and as requested (on Tuesday) by ANFR [National Frequency Agency], the manufacturer Apple assured me that it would implement an update on the iPhone 12 in the next few days“, said the French Minister of Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Jean-Noël Barrot, in statements to the France-Presse agency (AFP).

French government agency ANFR demanded that Californian technology giant Apple withdraw the iPhone 12 from the French market this week, after concluding that the device emits excessive levels of electromagnetic radiation.

ANFR ordered Apple “implement all available means to quickly repair this fault” or the company would have to recall cell phones already sold in France.
