A Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), presented, on March 27, a new iPad focused on the school market. Tim Cook unveiled the 2018 version of the classic iPad, with few hardware changes and a special price for students.
The new iPad has the same 9,7-inch screen, picture frames, Touch ID, buttons and cameras as the previous version. The big news is a processor upgrade for A10 Fusion and Apple Pencil support such as the iPad Pro.
Rumors have surfaced that this new iPad would have similarities to the iPhone X, but this was not confirmed. The 2018 iPad has TouchID fingerprint reader, FaceTime HD camera, 8 megapixel rear camera.
The company also took the opportunity to announce new versions of the Pages, Numbers and Keynotes programs, which now support Apple Pencil. The new iPad will cost US $ 329, value for the 32 GB model with support only for WiFi. The version with support for mobile networks will be sold at the price of US $ 459.
