With the pandemic, brands would not miss the chance to launch useful, but appealing, products for preventing COVID-19. Razer, which has already accustomed us to “unusual” launches (many did not even reach the market), returned to the load at CES 2021: An N95 mask with RGB lights.
The conceptual mask is associated with the so-called “Hazel Project”By Razer, which advertises this mask as“ the Smartest Mask in the World ”. It is a reusable face mask, equipped with filters, microphones and, of course, Razer's Chroma RGB lighting. According to the company, this is more than just a "mask for players", it was designed to be a more comfortable, more social way to stay safe.
The Hazel project uses replaceable N95 filters to keep its user safe, but after safety, comfort is Razer's second priority. There are adjustable straps and an optimized airflow system to prevent the mask from becoming uncomfortable or foggy.
The transparent design and lighting at the edges allow the user's face to be clearly seen, even in the dark. To solve the sound problem, which is often muffled when wearing masks, Razer has developed a voice amplifier technology to ensure that voices are not muffled by the mask.
If you are concerned about the environment and do not want a mask with the filters to be replaced regularly, Razer guarantees that the N95 filters are "refillable", and can be purified by placing them in an Ultraviolet light storage box. The equipment has two disk fans that serve to filter the air that reaches the airways and move using an internal battery, which can be recharged. This mask / breath is able to filter 95% of the particles in the air.
When will it hit the market?
For fans of Razer products, it's better not to party now, it's just a concept, but the company says the idea will continue to be optimized through testing and feedback. There is no estimate for the beginning of sales or price.
