The implementation project of the National Broadband Network in Angola will have funding of 249 million dollars from the China, through a concessional loan.

The Minister of Finance, Vera Daves and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Angola, Gong Tao signed an agreement for the implementation of the Broadband project in the national territory.

"The agreement that we signed today, due to its characteristics, contributes to further develop friendly relations and to promote our economic and technical cooperation", said Vera Daves, quoted by the Ministry of Finance website that advances the information.

The minister also explains that this contractual bond contains more favorable conditions than market conditions, having “a maturity period of up to twenty years, and without associated collateral, which demonstrates the confidence, as well as the availability of the People’s Republic of China to support and participate in the development of Angola”, he stressed.

For the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, the feeling is one of reciprocity, considering that this funding demonstrates his country's willingness to continue to support Angola "in the field of Telecommunications, improvement of the Digital service and Digital Transformation, as well as in the areas economic and other sectors of society”, it can be read.

The National Broadband Network is an infrastructure that allows enormous gains of scale for the national economy, favors technological innovation and boosts productivity in various services, whether public or private, says the same source.
