For several Angolan analysts, 2022 could be the year that our country will feel the impact of the 5G network, but now the question arises: How will the 5G network change the digital marketing done in Angola?

According to João Fernandes, Founder & CEO of Fucking Amazing, speaking to the magazine OnStartups, the main difference that users will feel when using the 5G network is the significantly increased speed, which will necessarily increase user expectations, especially those who use smartphones. This will make users get used to these new internet speeds when browsing, which will make them less tolerant of slow sites that take time to load their contents.

According to statistics, if a site takes more than 5 seconds to load its content, 65% of users close it and look for an alternative site. So, we can already predict that sites that are not optimized in this sense will have higher rates of rejection by users, and consequently less sales of their products.

In Founder's opinion, with the entry of the 5G network, speed when surfing the internet will become increasingly important, and where the news already shows that the multinational Google is already preparing for its search engines to increase the importance They give speed as a ranking factor when giving results in a search.

Another factor that will be decisive, in the entry of the 5G network in our country, is the importance that we (users) will give to smartphones. Knowing the capabilities of 5G, unlimited data packages will be a constant and affordable option for most people who use a smartphone. Based on this, the massive use of smartphones is also expected, to the detriment of computers, whether portable or desktop.

So, taking into account everything we “theorized” above, adds João Fernandes, the smartphone user experience will become the most important concern for sales conversation design and strategies. Just to serve as an example, the use of 360° videos in 4K to demonstrate products in an online store will increase, as well as the possibility of interaction with a particular product through augmented reality or virtual reality.

Finally, the CEO of Amazing Fucking, says that all these changes will change the development paradigm of websites and applications, with an innovative trend towards “mobile first”, meaning that instead of thinking first about websites for computers or laptops and then adapting them, we will think first on “mobile” and companies that do not update themselves will be the first to lose the race to competitors.
