The candidates selected for the Acelera Net program, by Angola Cables, an Angolan telecommunications multinational that operates in the wholesale market and is dedicated to exploring and commercializing the capacity of international data circuits and IP Trânsito, are already known, a program that consists of an accelerator of Internet Service Providers.
According to the official communiqué of the company, in which MenosFios had access, in this edition the following Internet access providers (ISP's) were selected: ANYCONNECT, NEONET, HSAMS Soluções Tecnológica Lda, NETKAMBA Lda, SITGROUP Lda.
A peculiarity about the selected companies is that all selected are from the country's capital, Luanda, since only these managed to meet the technical conditions required by the program, informs the organization.
For Máximo Paca, CEO of ANYCONNECT, it is of the opinion that “Acelera Net will make a significant contribution to the widespread use and reliability of telecommunications services, thus contributing to the digital inclusion of the population, while offering alternative solutions for accessing content quickly and efficiently. The program will give robustness to the implementation process of the ANYCONNECT DATA CENTER, for the treatment and routing of data traffic from potential customers in Angola and the world”, stressed the manager.
On the other hand, Pedro Sozinho, Director General of NetKamba, speaking at the event that announced the selected companies, says that this Angola Cables program “it is an ambitious and broadly structured project, which opens up a great opportunity for small internet service providers to grow in this sector and offer consumers a service with better quality and with the best cost-benefit options".
To inform that applications for the program were open to any and all small or medium-sized telecommunications companies that fit the requirements understood as being Angolan; be licensed by INACOM (Angolan Institute of Communications).
