All technical conditions created for launching Angosat-2 into orbit

All the technical conditions have already been created for the launch into orbit, tomorrow (12), of the Angosat-2, according to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), Mário Augusto Oliveira.

The minister who was speaking upon his arrival in the Federative Republic of Russia, together with a high-level delegation and with the presence of the Angolan ambassador to that country, Augusto da Silva Cunha, informing that the advance team is already in the city of Baikonur, Kazakhstan, where the launch pad for the rocket that will carry the satellite into space is located.

Mário Oliveira also stressed that all the technical procedures and their approval are in order, so the satellite is ready to be launched, tomorrow, October 12, into orbit.

As for the issue of probably happening with Angosat-2 the same as happened with the first Angolan satellite, the official was optimistic, stressing that "the satellite industry is complex and it is within this complexity that we have to look at probabilistic issues. All technical actions have been taken care of, but technology is made by men".

BUT: SADC countries interested in purchasing Angosat-2 services

The highest leader of MINTTICS also stressed that he fully trusts the Angolan team, taking into account the experience it adds in the area of ​​Telecommunications and Technologies, as well as the information reported to him by the same team that works with the Russian part that everything will go well well.

"Everything will go well and Angola will have the communications satellite, which will contribute to the improvement and expansion of Telecommunications in the country and with it associated other services such as Internet, Telecommunications that will contribute to the administrative modernization of the State, Education, TeleHealth and TeleMedicine, industry in the country and Agriculture”, reiterated the Minister.

Finally, the Minister added that all the conditions have been created, including from an atmospheric point of view. The weather conditions, forecast for tomorrow, he added, are good and the satellite technically passed all the tests carried out on land.
