The choice of the acronym PST (Portuguese Speaking Territories) also has a double meaning. On the one hand, it gives shape to the new brand with which the company intends to continue to affirm itself in all Portuguese-speaking markets where it already operates. On the other hand, it is a tribute to its history of 30 years and its origins Madeira while Promosoft.

"The experience and know-how accumulated over three decades make the company a reference in information systems and compel us to be focused on the permanent search for excellence, both in the development of new technological products and in the provision of a varied range of services, both in mature and emerging markets ", says Daniel Araújo, CEO of Asseco PST.

In addition to its presence in Angola, where it operates since 1990, Asseco PST has branches in Mozambique, Cape Verde and Portugal. In the remaining markets (São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor, Malta and Namibia), it regularly moves managers and technicians to the different geographies to follow the ongoing projects.

Relying on 400 employees, the company recorded a consolidated turnover of 41 million dollars in 2017. Of its portfolio of clients are more of 60 banks, of which 23 in Angola, which makes of Asseco PST one of the leading companies of the market in the space of the Portuguese language.

The entry of the multinational of Polish origin in the capital of the Portuguese-speaking company dates back to 2015. In addition to the banking sector, the Asseco Group also develops solutions for energy, telecommunications, public sector and health services companies. With more than 4.800 R&D specialists, in a global universe of 24.000 employees, the group invested more than 129 million euros in research and development in 2017. A know-how that the Portuguese-speaking brand will now benefit from.

Investment in new facilities in three geographies

The growth plan of Asseco PST also motivated the need to relocate facilities in Lisbon to a new space with around 2.200 square meters and around 260 jobs. The result has been the development of a single, functional space with several differentiated and technologically advanced specific zones in and cleaner open space, enabling an even more collaborative environment.

This investment in new infrastructures is the third in the last 18 months, after the creation of a development center in Funchal on the island of Madeira in the middle of 2017 and the inauguration in January of 2018 of a new office in the City Financial, in Talatona, with about 750 square meters (more than double the previous office).
