Schools in Uíge receive virtual laboratory to simulate classes

The secondary school of province of Uíge will soon have a virtual laboratory “Educational Multiverse”, for the simulation of laboratory practices in the disciplines of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Project created by Technological Center of Uíge (CFTU), in agreement with the Provincial Office of Education, the software was designed so that secondary school students have laboratory practices, even without internet access.

According to Virgílio Cordeiro, director of the CFTU, speaking at the presentation of the Educational Multiverse, he said that the initiative aims to respond to the lack of reagents and laboratories in several schools in that province.

For the full implementation of the program, several teachers and students will benefit from training, aimed at the correct use of the software in educational institutions, where it is expected that the educational Multiverse application will be installed very soon on mobile phones.

On the other hand, the director of the Provincial Education Office of Uíge, Pasi Mafuta, stressed that the fact that there is a shortage of reagents in school laboratories, motivated the idea of ​​creating laboratory software, an initiative that had the help of CFTU. She also added that the Provincial Education Office will continue to work to bring new technologies to schools in the region.
