The Annual Digital Payment and Invoicing Conference took place last weekend, under the motto “Angola and the New Economy, the conclave will be marked by impactful real case studies, investment opportunities for startups and networking sessions” , where several experts debated the regulation of fuel prices and the impact on digital mobility platforms, as well as the contribution of the sharing economy in leveraging agriculture.

One of the highlights of the event was the round table “Shared Economy and its Impact on Digital Payments”, with interventions by Haymée Perez Coglé (Director of Founder Institute Luanda), Vãnia Frederico (Executive Director of ATO Internacional in the System) and Emersom Paim (CEO of KUBINGA), where they talked about the economic model in which assets and services are shared between individuals, often facilitated by digital platforms.

Experts also showed how this phenomenon has transformed several sectors, from transport, accommodation, freelance work and much more. Instead of owning assets such as cars or real estate, people can temporarily share them with other users, often through online platforms.

For the promoter of the event, Justo Eliseu, the Conference “will serve as an exhaustive approach to the way in which these factors are influencing the adoption of the sharing economy in the Angolan context".

The event was attended by national and international speakers who, in addition to technical sessions, held multilateral meetings to attract investment (pitch) from Angolan startups.
