Electronic Arts has confirmed that it will soon start testing games that oppose opponents on different platforms. Cross-platform play will come first to Online Seasons and Online Friendlies.

Electronic Arts has already published on its website a small area of questions and answers about the multiplatform test that will bring to the FIFA 22 coins. Users will be able to face their friends, even if they are on different platforms. In this first phase, the mode will reach Online Seasons and Friendlies Online and only for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S or X and Stadia players.

Users interested in facing other people, on other consoles, must add them as friends first and then join the matches. There is still no confirmation on launch dates for this modality, but it is known that EA expects the community to participate and give their feedback in order to move forward with the large-scale launch.

BUT: FIFA debuts new offside technology at the Club World Cup

PS4 and Xbox One users are left out, until you see, of these possibilities.

Cross-play support, that is, playing the same title with friends, regardless of the game platform they choose, has been one of the most frequent requests from users and with FIFA 22 coins, Electronic Arts may be paving the way for one of the most influential additions in the segment.
