O National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) was invited to participate in theNASA Water Resources”, in Salt Lake City, Utah (United States), representing Angola, an event in which several scientists will make presentations on water resources from NASA, the North American space agency.
Second the official website of GGPEN, the invitation was made by the director of the Space Enabled Research Group, MIT Media Lab, Dr. Danielle Wood, within the scope of the “Supporting Drought Management in Angola using Integrated Modeling of the Environment, Vulnerability, Decision Making and Technology (EVDT)" - one partnership of GGPEN and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the best University of Engineering in the world.
The note adds that the presence of the Angolan institution is also outside the strategy of transferring knowledge and training national staff with the most modern and updated in the world space industry.

Expected to last for three years, the project “Support Drought Management in Angola using Integrated Modeling of the Environment, Vulnerability, Decision Making and Technology (EVDT) aims to create a Decision Support System for Droughts in Angola. It also has the financial support of USD 550 from NASA, in a request for support made by Dr. Danielle Wood, through MIT.
