The Angolan Government will technologically monitor citizens with HIV/AIDS, with the aim that people do not take more than one AIDS test and can monitor cases of treatment abandonment.

According to the deputy director general of the National Institute for the Fight Against AIDS, José Van-Dúnem, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) will acquire several electronic devices for this purpose, given that there are currently more than 340 thousand people in Angola suffering from the disease, a number that worries authorities.

The official also assured that Angola has a sufficient quantity of antiretrovirals for seven months, counting from January this year, and that men are the ones who least seek out hospitals to purchase the medication.
