O Yunus Environment Hub (YEH) opened applications for the 2022 edition of its incubation program Grow Up, which seeks social solutions for sustainable tourism and mobility in East Africa.

Co-founded and led by Nobel Peace Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, YEH is a global business social network that creates solutions to the environmental crisis, where it also supports and develops social business solutions that address environmental issues in a financially self-sustaining way.

The latest edition of its incubation program aimed to support early stage entrepreneurs in the tourism and mobility sectors in identifying and implementing potential ways for the circular economy to facilitate their growth, as well as assessing the impact of their green social enterprises. . The mentoring program will support social business entrepreneurs in several African countries, such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi.

During the six-month program, selected candidates will receive training on implementing circular solutions and evaluating their impact; on-demand sessions to guide implementation of circular strategies; access to an interactive capacity-building bootcamp; access to networking opportunities with local and international partners; and peer-to-peer support.
