“Nexus” devices have been able to gather consensual opinions as to their quality. Google sets the standards for the device and lets other companies build it. Sales have been going very well, although few units are produced. In Angola I know some users of Nexus devices and do not hide the satisfaction of having one of Google's devices with Pure Android.
Huawei started selling its first Nexus smartphone seven months ago and consumers were wondering when an update would come.
In an interview, Charlene Munilall, Huawei's General Manager for the South African market, suggested that Huawei is building another Nexus device, saying “we’re building the Nexus again this year…"
Huawei was one of Google's two partners last year, with Nexus 6P, and LG built the Nexus 5X. Google has already said that this year it will again bet on two companies. Rumors point to HTC as one of the companies, already building two smartphones with the codename Marlin e Sailfish.
Let's wait and see. Huawei has a large presence in the Angolan market and this time maybe we can have a “Nexus” for an acceptable price in our country.
