At the third conference of Huawei Eco-connect Europe, Huawei launched the HiAI 2.0, an open platform designed to facilitate the development of artificial intelligence in the device.
O HiAI is Huawei's artificial intelligence engine that aims to drive applications in the new P20 mobile, offering users an experience that contains some of the most interesting artificial intelligence resources on the planet. But most importantly, it will also open up new opportunities for mobile developers and machine learning engineers. Engineers can now download the Driver Development Kit (DDK), IDE and SDK to start using HiAI.
Second Lu Wenyu (Lead AI specialist at the Product Management Department of Huawei Consumer Business Group), “In April 2018, Huawei announced HiAI 1.0, a mobile artificial computing platform. By providing developers with APIs and operators, the inaugural platform helped to reduce the time and complexity of application development. HiAI 2.0 will bring even more computing power, richer APIs and better support on a wide range of devices. This will significantly reduce the barrier to entry for AI development, allowing even more developers to participate and create interesting new applications for consumers.
The latest iteration of the platform provides developers with an open ecosystem that enables them to exploit the capabilities of processors, devices, and Huawei cloud by HiAI Foundation, HiAI Engine e HiAI Service.
