The province of Huíla was chosen to host the first mini edition of the Startup Challenge, a technological event that comes to place a greater bet on young Angolans for the boldness, innovation, dedication and technology that they presented and that could serve to solve the various challenges that the country faces. .
The information was revealed by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, during the closing ceremony of the 2nd edition of the Angola Startup Summit 2023, held from the 27th to the 29th, in Luanda.
"We decided to create a mini-event that will culminate in the third edition of Startup Summit”, said the Minister.

Speaking to journalists, at the end of the gala awarding the best startups, Mário Caetano João, without giving a date for the event, said that the province of Huíla was selected due to the commitment shown by young people during the 2nd Edition of the Angola Startup Summit 2023.
According to Caetano João, challenges such as accelerating the catering service, solving the parking issue in Luanda and projects related to Agribusiness are proof of competence and merit of monitoring by financial institutions for the maturing of the young participants' businesses.
The minister recalled that the first edition had the participation of 30 Starups, the second with 160 and for the third edition 500 are expected to participate.
