O Instagram Stories, a function of the photo sharing application that allows you to publish ephemeral images, has reached the 250 million of active users per day.
The information was released on Tuesday, 20, by the Instagram. The number represents an increase of 25% in relation to the number of users registered in April this year. The company also revealed that videos shared live will continue to be available for 24 hours.
In all, Instagram has more than 700 million users worldwide. The Stories feature was officially announced on August 2 of last year, which shows an accelerated growth in the use of the tool.
It should be noted that the growth in the use of Instagram Stories was still significant, considering that the latest data, referring to April of this year, pointed to a value of 200 million users.
The number puts Instagram Stories ahead of its main rival, the Snapchat that recently, the company's shares registered a historic low, in May, the startup Snap reported that the ephemeral messaging application has exceeded 166 million users.
