Meta announced that it will deepen a measure launched in 2021 for the Instagram which prevented users under 18 from receiving messages from adults they did not follow.
Now, the website Engadget says that users under the age of 16 or 18 (depending on the country) will no longer receive messages from anyone they don't follow – even if they were sent by other teenagers.
BUT: Facebook and Instagram will hide sensitive content from teenagers
This measure will apply to both Instagram and Messenger, emerging as part of a strengthening of protection measures for teenagers.
