A Starlink will finally arrive in Angola. SpaceX announced that it will start operating in the country in the fourth quarter of 2023, where with an internet of up to 220 MB/s it can leverage a new reality for the sector's businesses.

The connection offers speeds of up to 220 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload in virtually any region of the world. Here in Angola, the company is expected to guarantee 100% coverage in territorial waters.

Starlink is currently accepting pre-registration for the service, at a cost of 7.440 kwanzas (US$9).

According to the company, both the speed and stability of the Starlink internet are superior to competitors, which can cost even more.

Despite this announcement by the company, Starlink will have to wait for the approval of the national regulatory body, namely the Angolan Institute of Communications (INACOM).

BUT: Starlink arrives in Africa and now operates on all continents

To inform that SpaceX intends to create a constellation of satellites to provide broadband Internet services and global coverage at low cost, and where the company explains that, while the majority of satellite Internet services come from satellites in orbit at about 35.000 kilometers from Earth, the Starlink constellation is much closer, at around 550 kilometers, which allows it to reduce data travel time between the user and the satellite.

According to a publication made by Elon Musk and shared by SpaceX's profile, the first African countries to receive Starlink coverage are Nigeria and Mozambique, increasing the list of nations benefiting from the service to 34.
