Yesterday was Apple's day to do what was its last launch event of the year. We had the expected news, some not very new, with the rumors here and there, and some surprising news. We have gathered the main points of the event and share it here with you.
New 13 MacBook Pro with Retina display
It was a release expected sooner or later. The main features are:
- Retina display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 and 178º viewing angle
- Core i5 or i7 processor
- 8 GB of RAM
- SSD up to 768 GB
- 2 Thunderbolt Ports
- 2 USB ports 3.0
- 1 HDMI output
- 1 SD card reader
- 1,9 cm thick and 1,59 kg.
New iMac
In my opinion this was the real innovation that Apple presented at this event. We were all waiting for a renovation on the iMacs line but this one was amazing. Surprising why this new generation has 5mm thick, yes you read well, 5mm. For those who have or have already seen an iMac well and can compare, it is absurd. It is 80% thinner than the previous generation. Show!!!
- Core i5 or i7 processors with up to 32 GB of RAM
- 2,7 GHz, 8 GB RAM (not 21,5) and 2,9 GHz, 8 GB RAM (in 27 model)
- GeForce GT 640M (not 21,5) and GeForce GTX 660M (in 27 model)
- 27 model "has 256 × 1440 resolution and 21,5" has 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution.
- IPN panel with 178º viewing angle
- FaceTime HD
- Fusion Drive (128 GB + HD from 1 or 3 TB)
- Nvidia video card.
New Mac mini
There is not much to add besides a new design and an improvement here and there. The new models are:
- Model with SSD up to 256 GB and HD 500 GB
iPad Mini
The king of today's event. For the characteristics should be called iPad 2 Mini:
- A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2)
- 7,9 screen inches
- Resolution of 1024 x 768 (also equal to the iPad 2)
- 5MP rear camera and front HD
- 10h battery.
- Lightning connector
- Support for 4G LTE
- 16GB, 32GB and 64GB (no 8GB iPads) in the usual white and black colors (no other colors) with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G / 4G
- 7,2mm thick and 308g.
New iPad Update
This was certainly the biggest frustration of the event for those who bought the new iPad, Apple was mazinha. Practically 6 months after the launch of the New iPad, it is, from the NEW IPAD, they have released an update. And what has changed and really matters is:
- A6X faster processor
- Lightning connector
So Apple? That hurt…
