Is your iPad ubiquitous and has wheels?

No? So here's the wonderful concept of Double Robotics that assumes you don’t need to leave home or travel to be anywhere in the world. Whether in the office in another city, in the classroom, in a store, with the family on the other side of the world or where your imagination allows, you don't need to miss a moment, all you need is a "Double".

He is a Segway inspired robot, and uses two iPads. One of them stays with Double, and this will be his eyes, ears and mouth, and another stays with him that serves as remote control. There is an app that links the two iPads and lets you control Double anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection. We can adjust the height of the iPad, put for example the level of a person sitting (119cm) or standing (152cm), or control their movements. See Double in action in the video below.

It weighs 7 Kg including the iPad and is compatible only with the second and third generation of the latter, because the former does not have a front camera. It also has an internal Lithium rechargeable battery with a range of 8 hours of "normal" use and two breaks to save battery when it is stopped.

The price is 2.499,00 dollars, but if you book today it is only for 1.999,00 and gets around 2013. According to the site they deliver to Angola, is there anyone interested in sending it?
