ISPTEC and GGPEN present project proposals for the national space sector

2066

Based on the Protocol of Understanding signed last November, the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) and the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences (ISPTEC), organized a Workshop where they presented project proposals in the space sector to be implemented by our country, last week.

With the theme of “Expansion of Training Actions on Science, Technology and Space Industry, as well as the dissemination of space culture in the National Academy”, organized at the headquarters of ISPTEC, in Talatona, the ceremony aimed to present proposals for research projects and development in Small Satellites, Microrockets and Orbital Mechanics. On the other hand, the GGPEN presented all the initiatives that have been developed since 2015, which forwarded to the academy will boost the creation of a national university network of space science and technology.

All the projects presented at that Workshop were based on the guidelines of the National Space Strategy, namely the Axis 2: Training and Promotion of the Space Sector🇧🇷 This axis includes challenges such as the Design, Construction and Launching project of the first Academic Cubesat in the Republic of Angola, which for its pursuit requires the creation of a structured training program in space matters that encompasses the essential scientific and technological areas in this field. domain, and on the other hand, through end-user training.

BUT: GGPEN specialists participate in training on Big Data

Also taking into account the initiatives of ISPTEC related to propulsion and orbital mechanics, short courses on topics on microrockets, orbital mechanics, as well as various topics for End of Course Work (TTC) were also presented by the GGPEN Ballistics specialists. for interested students of the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Tecnologias e Ciências.

It should be noted that ISPTEC and GGPEN signed a protocol of understanding on the last 04th of November for the expansion of training actions on science, technology and space industry, where this partnership between the two entities will give priority to training actions in the areas of “remote sensing"and "Geographic Information Systems”, applied in the oil sector, “satellite communication”, as well as research and development projects in the field of small satellites, rockets and orbital mechanics.

Add that another objective present in the agreement between the two institutions, aims to promote training in technologies relevant to the space sector, create and train staff in this field, supporting sustainable development, through aerospace technologies. Based on this, we will be contributing to the positioning of the national academy in the regional prism and in cementing the binomial academy and industry, through the promotion and development of products and services based on space technology.
