Currently, Paratus connects more than 35 African countries through the fiber optic, microwave and satellite network, and where this unification establishes the next step in expanding the group's presence on the continent, allowing more institutions, public and private, to benefit from a quality telecommunications network and services in Africa.

"the transformation of the ITA brand is a major step towards establishing a unique brand that translates our global vision as Paratus, to transform Africa through exceptional digital infrastructures and customer service. Paratus Angola will therefore continue to focus on delivering the same virtues, maintaining the efficiency, accessibility and reliability for which ITA and Paratus are renowned.”, said Paratus Group CEO and Executive President-designate Barney Harmse, quoted in the statement.

With this name change, our country becomes a central point in Paratus' development agenda, as it includes several large-scale projects.

It was revealed that the company is about to establish a highly sophisticated data hub in Angola, a work that results from years of investment in infrastructure, including the expansion of fiber and microwave coverage that connect the 18 Angolan provinces and recent fiber optic connection to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

It should also be noted that the group also announced the inauguration of a new Data Center in Namibia for this year, and the inclusion of new submarine cables such as, for example, the “Google's Cabo Equiano".
