Activision remains committed to finding ever more creative ways to punish players who use cheating to gain an advantage in online matches in games in the 'Call of Duty' series.
Although it is not a perfect mechanism – since the system has to be able to detect cheaters and assume that the player does not have a way to automatically detect enemies – it should still discourage the use of some cheats.
