Well, digital platforms allow artists to interact with the public in ways that were unthinkable a few years ago.
We have cases of collaborative albums, where fans sponsor the album and then have the right to disc and other perks. We have the cases of albums / songs that can be downloaded in exchange for advertising to the artist, through a "sharing" at the Facebook or "retweet" at the Twitter.
Now the North American pop artist Lady Gaga has decided to raise the level and will make available her album in the form of an application for iPad and iPhone (not this one, Android ...). The system is simple, for the price users would buy the album, they buy the app and listen to the songs. There is also additional content, such as music videos, games, in short… a “Gaga universe”.
