Luanda will host, from the 2nd to the 5th of April this year, the 3rd edition of the conference “New Space in Africa, 2024 edition”, an event that focuses on the emerging African space sector, according to the Minister of Telecommunications Information and Communication Technologies Social, Mário Oliveira.

Speaking at the end of a meeting with officials from the African Space Union, Ouattara Tidiane, and Space in Africa, Temidamo Oniosun, the leader stressed that “New Space in Africa” is an event that highlights the growing interest and investment in technologies spaces across the African continent and brings together industry leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and space enthusiasts to discuss opportunities, challenges and innovations in this field.

For the 2024 edition, the event will feature multiple discussion areas and industry-wide topics such as Launches and Satellites, Space Applications, Space Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Education and Training, Space Policy and Regulation and Access to Space.

“New Space in Africa” also provides a valuable platform for networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration between the various stakeholders interested in the development of the space sector on the African continent. This event highlights the transformative potential of space technology to drive socio-economic development and promote innovation across Africa.
