It is not news to many that the countries of the African continent suffer from the problem of garbage collection. The inhabitants of the city of Maputo now have a platform that can help with garbage collection.

Henceforth, Maputo city residents will be able to supervise garbage collection in their neighborhoods thanks to the implementation of the Participatory Monitoring platform MOPA-Fiscal. The application that was delivered yesterday in the capital of the country, will help the operations of MOPA, an initiative financed by the World Bank, which was officially launched last year and is being implemented in the neighborhoods,

Second António Morais (Project Manager), the tool that can be accessed even without Internet, came to improve the solid waste management by the inspectors of the Health and Solid Waste Directorate of Maputo city.

Osvaldo Maria (representing the World Bank) assured that MOPA is revolutionizing the collection of garbage in some of the peripheral districts of the city of Maputo, requiring a greater dissemination of the tool, so that more people have access.

  1. It is a pressing need for Angola to have applications of this nature. Developers need to bet on this type of project. After all, they have as a backdrop the increase in the quality of life of the populations.

What are the emergency numbers in Angola? Do they work? Do the police answer? Do firefighters respond?
What is the number of our “community services”? Will they answer?
That country needs to get its butt off the couch first and exercise citizenship, which is good for health.
