The Agreement between Banco Sol and MasterCard was signed on April 7, 2016 in Luanda by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco Sol Coutinho Nobre Miguel and by MasterCard's President for Sub-Saharan Africa Daniel Monehin.
According to Banco Sol's PCA, Angola has the third largest banking sector in Africa, after Nigeria and South Africa, it is still the fifth largest African economy and has sustained economic growth. However, after an economic slowdown, the need to diversify the economy was identified in order to minimize dependence on oil ”.
