A Public Television of Angola (TPA) it will undergo a technological modernization, in order to expand its role of providing public information service, training the population, raising citizenship and rescuing the values ​​and principles of Angolan culture.

This guarantee was given by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, speaking at the event allusive to the 47th anniversary of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), where he also praised the progress made in TPA, mainly to what he considered an ambitious and necessary program of technological modernization, improvement and reinforcement of processes and working conditions.

"On this unique occasion and one of enormous joy, I address to the TPA Board of Directors, employees and their families a happy birthday”, added the Minister.

Still on this process, according to the Minister, they have already allowed the passage of the emission of contents, from analogue to HD, which was only possible due to the implementation of the program of permanent qualification and specialization of the staff of the different areas, bringing television to the current technical standards. and technological.

It should also be informed that national public television will also benefit from the rehabilitation of its technological infrastructures valued at 39,9 million euros, according to a dispatch signed by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

The values ​​will be used properly for the opening of the simplified contracting procedure for the restructuring of the technological means of state television, where this should be done "the imperative urgency of ensuring its normal functioning and consequently guaranteeing the manifestation of the public interest“, informs the Angolan State in a note.
