Mozambique registers increase in business on digital platforms

2097

Mozambique is in a phase of growth, with regard to the increase in companies, investors, entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs who are investing in digital platforms, according to several specialists in information and communication technologies who were at the last edition of the MozTech, held last May, at Arena 3D, in Katembe, Maputo City.

According to the representative of the Bland Lovers Planning team, Pedro Garcia, who spoke in a space for reflection inherent to the theme “Digital platforms – a lever for business growth“, the country he met two years ago is completely different from the current one, although he recognizes that there are many challenges.

For the manager, more than thinking about the problems, MozTech should serve as a pretext for Mozambican society, as a whole, to reflect on the opportunities that the country has in the information and communication technologies sector. The country's technological potential, says Garcia, is visible because it is a dynamic society with its own will. The fact that Mozambique is a young country, with an open mind for new knowledge, in all sectors, is a great advantage that has contributed to more investors on the internet.

"It is not necessary to invest stratospherically, to launch small things that can bring constant solutions“, he informed.

Still in his approach, the representative of Bland Lovers, added that the seven million Mozambicans present on digital platforms, although not an excellent number at all, is an indicator of opportunity. Pedro Garcia also pointed out that, at this moment, the citizen is, without a doubt, the gold for anyone interested in exploring business through the internet.

"Now, what we have to do is bet more on security, dynamics and seek support for legal issues that allow us to professionalize our work. So things will grow because these issues are contagious“, he reiterated.

Paulo do Carmo, Commercial Director of Sandit, who was also in the debate, recognized that there are no strong governments without strong markets, remembering that digital platforms allow reaching the widest public, reaching foreign markets and raising the brand, which, only local level, it would be impossible.

Do Carmo also noted that Mozambique has registered a growth in the level of users of digital platforms.

"This is a sign that companies are investing and looking at digital as a gift", said.

Finally, so that this progress is not compromised, the Director defends that the organization of data or information about customers, by companies and investors, is essential, which must happen clearly and without complications.

"We can even start informally, thinking that, in a short time, we will become professional. That's where we all have to start to be able to communicate“, Finished.
