Evolution of the digital economy in Africa is highlighted at the 3rd edition of the Angola Innovation Summit

Last week, the 3rd edition of the Angola Innovation Summit (AiS), a global knowledge network that promotes awareness of technology and innovation as a key factor for business competitiveness in Africa.

In this edition of the biggest innovation and technology event in Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP) it took place in a 100% digital format, with 10 panels, more than 25 sessions and 30 speakers who shared and inspired without borders for five days, all of this on three virtual stages.

Paulo Portas, former Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal, in the inaugural speech of the event, said that the new economic paradigm on global market trends caused by the pandemic of the fragility revealed both by the pandemic and by the war in Europe, which showed that the crisis management system is manifestly insufficient.

Also according to the Strategic Consultant, he recommended that the creation of an economic zone in Africa be essential, which could encourage young entrepreneurs on the continent to embark on the business world.

It should be noted that in the two previous editions, AiS gathered more than 35 countries represented, more than 6.000 participants, 40 speakers from 13 countries, content with more than 1.000 minutes that generated more than 33.000 views in the first 72 hours, and more than 50 references directly in the national and international media.
