The health authorities of Inhambane will use, from March, drones to transport medical samples collected in different districts of the province to the provincial capital, reveals the newspaper Noticias.

This technological innovation is designated as “Sample Referencing Systems Using Drones”, and it is the first time that this experiment has been carried out in the province of Inhambane, since the city of Maputo was the first to do this, with 300 samples.

BUT: Ghana is using drones to deliver vaccines

According to Elvira Chirinzda, the drones used in the operation have a capacity of 100 to 120 kilometers an hour, and can carry up to three kilograms, and in this pilot phase, the districts of Govuro, Inhassoro, Mabote, Panda and Funhalouro will be covered.
