O Crypto Browser is a new Opera browser that is still in beta for Windows, Mac and Android users and aims to provide easy access to the world of cybercurrencies, Web3 and NFT.

The browser, in addition to allowing you to browse the Internet, has an integrated cryptocurrency wallet, supports decentralized apps (dApps) and provides easy access to the crypto and NFT markets.

"Simplifies the Web3 user experience that is sometimes too complex for mainstream users”, explains Jorgen Arnensen, Executive Vice President of Opera.

The wallet built into Crypto Browser has supported blockchains such as Ehtereum, Bitcoin, Celo and Nervos from the ground up, with announced partnerships with Polygon and others. Without any extensions, the user can access their digital assets directly through the browser, and can then perform various operations, such as purchase, exchange or queries. Also noteworthy is the secure clipboard, where data that other apps do not have access to can be copied and pasted.

The Crypto Corner is where the latest blockchain news appears and where users can share information to enhance their Web3 capabilities. This new iteration of the Web is truly the focus of the Crypto Browser, which allows access to the decentralized Internet and even features such as GameFi, which offers users rewards as they browse and play in various metaverses.

To anticipate criticism about the ecological footprint that blockchain brings to the world, Opera has already announced that it is working to implement the more efficient Ethereum Layer 2 standard as soon as possible.
