Africa Science Week is an initiative of the Next Einstein Forum, organized simultaneously in more than 30 African countries with the purpose of stimulating the curiosity of learning and interest in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) among the public, and offering opportunities for citizens to engage science in their daily lives, above all, to young people and especially women to become excellent scientists and technologists.
This year and for the first time in Angola, the Africa Science Week will be organized in Luanda, in a set of coordinated events from 22 to 29 in September this year. These events are also designed to allow the aggregation, inclusion and participation of individuals (Students, Teachers, Industrial Leaders, Professionals, Scientific Researchers, Inventors, etc.) of various age groups in panel discussions, lectures, contests, competitions, search and more.
These events will be organized in both rural and urban areas, universities, innovation centers, research centers and more. Each event may involve local communities, partners and institutions to celebrate science and technology in Angola. Taking into account the main purpose of the Next Einstein Forum, which is "Connect science to humanity".
