Pioneer builds a Portable Audio Player

Pioneer, one of the market leaders in sound devices, decided to launch the XDP-100R which will be the name of the high-resolution device that was first introduced in 2015's IFA, a device that can compete with smartphones specifically in sound quality and many other aspects, since it will contain the Android Lollipop system.

According to a Pioneer spokesman, the XDP-100R was built "for those who feel that Smartphones are not offering satisfactory sound quality".

As an Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) system, which will offer compatibility with streaming applications, and exceptionally, it also offers an integrated speaker, if you forget that you can also use headsets. It supports a whole range of audio formats (including lossless FLAC, MQA, and ALAC, as well as DSD audio up to 11.2MHz), plus two separate circuit boards - one for the regular processor and one for the components audio - which the company says will "eliminate the effects of digital noise."

The Pioneer device will be about 13 inches tall and 7,6 inches wide, it will have a 4,7 inch screen. a pair of memory cards (each card supporting up to 128GB in size, on top of 32GB of internal memory), up to 10 hours of high quality playback on a single charge, and removable bumpers at the top and bottom of the reader for extra protection.

Price:

the XDP-100R will cost 700 USD when it is available to the market and will be marketed from November of 2015
