The most recent IDC report for the first quarter of this year shows that Samsung exceeded Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), with regard to mobile phones sent to stores globally.
Compared to the same period last year, Apple will have had a drop of 9,6% – thus leaving it with a market share of 17,3%. Samsung, on the other hand, had a drop of just 0,7% and has 20,8% of the market.
In third place is Xiaomi (14,1% of the market), in fourth is Transsion (9,9%) and, closing the top five, Oppo with 8,7% of market share.
