Digital financial services highlighted in the 12th edition of Global Money Week

The 12th edition of Global Money Week kicked off at the beginning of the week, under the motto “Protect your money, secure your future”, and where attention will also be focused on digital financial services and electronic currency, with the dissemination and dynamization of the electronic system “KWiK".

The event, which runs until Friday, will also address modern, inclusive and easy-to-use payment instruments, adapted to the reality of the unbanked population, and which is beginning to consolidate its steps in the Angolan financial system.

Global Money Week is an initiative coordinated by the Organization for Economic Development Cooperation (OECD), which has been held every year since 2012 in more than 176 countries, with the aim of raising awareness among people, especially young people, about the main themes related to financial literacy.

In Angola, for six days, in the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Malanje, Huambo, Huíla, Namibe, Cunene, Cuanza-Sul, Moxico, Uíge and Cuando Cubango, financial education lectures and awareness campaigns for opening bank accounts will be held and electronic money, with the participation of financial system supervisors, banks, mobile payment service providers, public and private sector partners.
