O PeeringDB is an international project that aims to facilitate the exchange of information related to peering (traffic exchange agreements) and has the support and sponsorship of the main ASNs e IXPs (Internet Exchange Points) of the world. Since 2004, it is a register of organizations and Autonomous Systems in a database with information on the places where they exchange traffic (peering), and what peering policy they have.

What is the advantage of my Network, IXP, facilities or organization appearing on PeeringDB?

  • It helps to establish peering more efficiently, with everyone and makes it easier to find information from other networks;
  • Keeps all contact and connection information updated in one place;
  • Find contact from other networks and information on the peering link;
  • Other information about: Internet Exchange Point (IXPs) and Datacenters;
  • Many networks require a peeringDB registration to make peering agreements;
  • Initial configuration for fast peering- Update definitions and prefix imitations;

Angola

The purpose of this article is to analyze the existing ASN (s) nationally, and which ones have a record in the “PeeringDB”. Angola currently has July / 2020 with (59) ASN (s) number of autonomous systems, if you want to consult the list click here.

Final considerations

Of the (59) ASN (s) there are only 14 with a record made in PeeringDB, the remainder of 45 ASN (s) do not have a record in PeeringDB. Those who do not have it are recommended to create or register to ensure that their data is visible in the world of Internet / Interconnection.
