The national startup NARISREC, which consists of an online “e-waste” platform for managing and selling electronic waste, is one of the nominees for the STARTUP GREENTECH OF THE YEAR award from the renowned competition SOUTHERN AFRICA STARTUP AWARDS, for this 2024 edition of Global Startup Awards – Africa (AFRICAN INNOVATION CELEBRATION).
Currently, NARISREC is already certified by the National Waste Agency (ANR), an entity linked to the Ministry of the Environment, and carries out its activity of selective collection, treatment and commercialization of electrical and electronic waste with transparency, quality and professionalism and based on environmental impact procedures.
O Global Startup Awards – Africa (AFRICAN INNOVATION CELEBRATION), which constitute a continental survey in the 55 countries of Africa, with the aim of identifying startups that managed to find solutions in various categories with a focus on financial inclusion, HealthTech, AgriTech, Fintech, renewable energy, sustainability and female empowerment in ICTs.

Angola is located in the Southern Africa Startups Awards region, where the list of startups that will compete in the competition will be announced in the coming weeks, spread across 12 categories, all related to the digital entrepreneurship ecosystem.
In addition to national startups, the Southern Africa Startups Awards region also includes startups from South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
