Would you agree to ride in a car that did not have a driver?

A Google has used these cars for the city mapping service, Street View. Obviously this technology will be implemented by the world from here a long time, right? To the rest of the world, yes! But Japan has already proven that it is at a pace of technological growth different from the rest of the world and is betting on the latest technologies.

Company Robot Taxi announced that it will start testing “robotic taxis”, that is, taxis without human drivers, in 2016. The company's strategy is to offer autonomous tours to 50 people in Kanagawa Prefecture, on the outskirts of Tokyo. limited testing will include transporting the participants from their homes to the local shops and back, all the time with a human operator will sit in the driver's seat, to ensure the safety of passengers in the event of any anomaly.

If the experiments are successful, Robot Taxi expects to have a service if fully commercial and running until 2020. The idea, at least initially, will be to run routes in places where there is no public transport.

Japan has the world's largest population of older people, with 33 percent of the population celebrating its 60 anniversary. As a consequence, there is an urgent need to care for these citizens, what the state is doing is technological methods that facilitate the life of this age group. This includes distribution of tablets that can help seniors organize their medication, shopping, and exercise schedules. Then there is a robotic bear that is designed to help transport people with little mobility from one place to another.
